Street/Drag Engine Packages

The Hayabusa is fast but we make them faster. We have many Hayabusa packages from mild to wild. There are to many combinations to list. Please call and we can spec one out for your bike and budget.

Every engine we build is custom built to the customer’s specific needs. Please give us a call today so that we can spec an engine for you. All engine prices assume that your motor is in good working condition; any additional parts or repairs would be extra. (eg. 2nd gear, head damage, rod knock, ect.)

Stage 1 – 165 to 180hp:

This would be the first step in any performance upgrade. It would include all the bolt on and external modifications to get rid of the manufacturers limitations like the restrictive exhaust, hi flow air box mod, air/fuel correction, ect. Stage 2  – 175 to 215hp :

This is a continuation to the previous stage but with the addition of a CNC ported head, custom cams, and hi compression piston blue printed for best piston to head clearance but maintaining the stock piston bore. This will improved top end acceleration with the bigger cams and better mid range hit with adjusting the cam timing.  CNC head $1050-$1350, Thin Head gasket $170, Custom ground cams $825 – $1100, Upgraded Valve Springs $160, Cam Sprockets $165, Manual Cam Chain Tensioner $75, Labor and Dyno Tune $1375.

Stage 3 – 195 to 245hp :

This is where the real serious players come to play. MPH offers big bore kits for your 99-07 Busa 1363cc, 1397cc, 1430cc, and 1464cc overbore kits. These motors make 185 to 234hp and fully streetable. 08-up Busa 1441cc, 1475cc overbore kits. These motors make 220-245hp. Aftermarket parts like rods and billet clutch basket are recommended for strength.

All of the overbore kits require overboring and Nickel Silicon Carbide plating. Main bearings, rod bearing, and gasket kit

99-07 Busa 2mm(1363cc) :

Big boost in torque and power in the low-mid range areas as well it will keep your streetablity and touring capabilities. 190-200hp range

99-07 Busa 3mm(1397cc) :

More power over the entire power range. Still very streetable but  195 to 235hp.

08-up  Busa 3mm(1441cc) :

More power over the entire power range. Still very streetable but  205 to 245hp. 

99-07 Busa 4mm(1430cc) : 

Not for used on street for every day riding.  Racing is its primary use. This is the most power build on a standard block with a standard stroke crank. Normally in the 215hp range but with high compression pistons and big cams these motors can make as much as 230+ hp.

08-up Busa 4mm (1475cc) :

Not for used on street for every day riding.  Racing is its primary use. This is the most power build on a standard block with a standard stroke crank. Normally in the 225hp range but with high compression pistons and big cams these motors can make as much as 245+ hp.

99-07 Busa 5mm (1464cc) :

Muzzy Big Block kit with pistons. Aftermarket rods are a must. With high compression pistons and big cams it make more than 230hp with huge torque and reliability. Muzzy Block and Piston kit retails for about $3000

JE or CP custom pistons $699-$799, bore and plating $550-$650,  CNC Head $1050-$1350, Web Cams $825 – $1100, Adjustable cam sprockets $165, Valve Springs $160, Falicon Billet Clutch Basket $525, Custom head gasket $165, Labor and Dyno Tune $1750.

Stage 4 – 225 to 280+hp:

The is a bring your wallet project and for the owner that knows how to maintain a motor. Do not expect to hot lap this thing. All out drag racing or grudge racing. We combine a 5mm Muzzy Billet Big Block with a Billet stroker crank to make a monster motors from 1580cc up to 1720cc with well over 250 hp and up to 145 lbs-ft of torque. These motors are built with a ton of custom parts including JE pistons. Carrillo rods are a must! These are the grand daddy of them all. If money is an issue please do not inquire.

ADD A STOKER BUILT UP THAT TORQUE

For the monster of all monsters you can combine any one of our big bore packages with a stroker crank to make a 1441cc up to 1610cc with well over 240 hp and up to 155 lbs-ft of torque. Stage 5 – 230 to 275+hp

Grudge or dedicated Drag bike.  Fastest motors on the planet Billet stroker cranks with Billet 5mm block. Displacements starting at 1580cc to 1720cc with well over 260 hp and stump pulling 125-155 lbs-ft of torque. This is not an off the shelf build. 90% of your motor will be aftermarket parts except stripped cases and bare head. Serious inquiries only. This system will make 250 Hp on pump fuel without any engine work. It fits inside stock body work for a very stealthy look. This system can be upgraded to over 400 HP by adding secondary fuel system and with slight engine work. No more turbo upgrades to be purchased.

2008- up

Due to the high compression ratio of the 2008 hayabusa and the light valve spring pressures, we recommend only running 4 psi of boost as a bolt on kit. This system will make 230 Hp on pump fuel without any engine work. For the customer that wants more power out of their 2008 we recommend installing a base spacer, and heavier valve springs, we even suggest seriously considering just changing the titanium valves out for stainless valves.

It fits inside stock body work for a very stealthy look. This system can be upgraded to over 400 HP by adding secondary fuel system and with slight engine work. No more turbo upgrades to be purchased.

This system will make 550 HP on race fuel and is designed for the person who is not planning on building an all out race bike. It is similar to the Race kit, but uses a 2 ” up-pipe that goes through the ram air tube hole. You do not have to cut a frame crossmember for the up-pipe nor do you need to relocate your cooling fan.
